About Williams Writing Why choose Williams?
For the accumulated wisdom. David Williams (above) trained as copywriter with Ogilvy & Mather, London, went on to be a senior writer with JWT, returned to Ogilvy's as a creative group head and finished his agency career as Saward's creative director. In 1985 he founded Williams Writing on the principle that there's always a better way to communicate with people who matter to an organisation.
If experience is the feature, what's the benefit?
Peace of mind. I've worked with such a variety of clients, brands and agencies, I can apply experience in your market sector, in your chosen medium, for your next project. Whether it's a 15,000 word bid document or a 5 word poster, a 20 second commercial or a 20 minute video...
Hold on, is all this a case of "been there, done that"?
Every situation is new, so I always take a fresh approach to each project and find a different solution - building on knowledge and applying skills. Nothing is recycled. Its a matter of honour.
Is Williams just about writing?
I produce and direct videos, organise and carry out research, set up complete marketing campaigns using people I work with regularly - graphic designers, production companies, marketing consultants, web specialists, composers, P.R experts - a quality, virtual agency at less cost than one in a building.
And where does all this happen?
Everything begins from my home in Tynemouth on the sparkling English north east coast. Theres a beach, a pub and a castle just down the street, the C2C (sea to sea) cycle route ends here, I can see the ferry to Norway passing
Idyllic but remote, eh?
Only three laptop tapping hours from London where I spent 19 years in ad agencies. But thats not the point. Nowhere is remote on the web. Ive just completed a direct mail shot for an agency in Hungary, everything conducted by e-mail.
Ambitions?
To give the benefit of my experience to businesses all over the U.K and the world who seek a better way to communicate with the people who matter to them.
Hence this web site?
Got it in one.
